Be like me

Published by onepath at 11:08 am under Uncategorized

I went for confession last christmas time, as a part of preparation for the coming of Christ. Well, I ended up crying while confessing and telling the priest how I felt at certain times. I always wait for the consultation part, because that is so consoling.

I was quiet surprised by what the priest told me. He did not give me ways to escape my pain, instead asked me to bear it. He made me think and to this day it keeps me thinking and keeps me strong when I come across a bad situation.

I am going to share the secret, you might just happen to find this useful. He said, “Jesus did so much when he was on this earth. He preached the good news, healed people, he bore everything a human bears, he chose poverty. Such an awesome God he is. But what did he get in return, reproach, betrayal, denial and finally the cross. So Jesus calls us to be like him, when overcome with pain - pray for those who trouble you, forgive again and again. Our little burdens in life are our little crosses. We should not cry nor give up. Stop cribbing. Instead be happy that you are getting to bear them to ‘BE LIKE HIM’ “

The priest was so right. Today I feel very tired bearing the pain but I can still walk up as if I were strong because Jesus is my refuge and my strength. Amen.

hi, U remember Fulton Sheen’s words “I saw a worm wriggling for life in the soil, I was unmoved. I walked further to see a wounded dove only feel my heart wrenched and I took it to my room to cover its wounds.I asked myself Why did I feel so much pain for the dove n not for the worm? the dove is supposed to be in the air not on the ground.” So was your pain knowing you’re not only eve but also an ave of blessing. I’m too young at 25 to know everything but I know one thing like us even Our Lord cant bear to see us stained, He cleansed us with His blood, our Mother stood unmoved even as the spear of sorrow pierced her sacred heart, We’re never alone for our footsteps have company of His Light. You’re Blessed for thou art not Eve alone but an Ave of our Lord. God bless all.

    Hi

Advent is here and was having some discussions with my parents, realized why you dwell much on this virtue and conversation with God which is often a conversation with the forgotten soul within us. I hope St. Therese’s autobiography helps you find answers to your own questions as She went through a dark night of the soul which all of us do and find our own answers. I can tell you one thing which my catechism teacher told me in 3rd grade, A tear shed and hands locked fervently in prayer, free us from sin. I think God will let you experience you as Ave/blessing instead of being mere mortal. Do continue speaking on confessions cos U’ll change others outlook on confessions and thereby bring a soul to our Lord. hope to hear from U more. [:)]
