Mumbai? India? World? – The constant attack
Just wondering where we are heading today. Humanity, just seems to be a word hidden in the dictionary and no longer in practice. Talk of terrorism in any form – extremists, gangsters, thief’s, religious fundamentalist, political fanaticism. Its not confined to a single group or community. Anything causing psychological and mental tumult to humanity through coercion is terrorism. Anyone deliberately intending to cause fear by the use of violence are terrorists.
Recently, the chain bomb blasts in India and the most shocking of all, the shootouts in bombay, are not to be considered attacks on any specific country or community. As media continues to stress over the target being the Jewish community. Secondly, calling it an infructuous effort by the terrorists, not being able to reach the goal of 5000 people, all sounds very ridiculous. But was it a complete failure? They got the whole world by storm of fear and sense of threat, they got the attention they needed and more so they killed innocent blood.
We lack wisdom to comprehend the situation and sitting afar and getting news from different parts of the world, fails to explain the intensity, pain and commotion going on. Lets not forget to continuously remember these people in our prayers. The powers of satan can cease with only God’s intervention. No organization in the world, no political power can fight negative forces. What can strengthen our Christian brethren fighting against communal forces, and human race at large trying to figure out the solution to terrorism; the only answer is, to seek God alone. Let’s kneel everyday in the presence of God, ask for his mercy and pardon. He alone can change the world for us and change every heart.
This reminds me of the divine mercy prayer. An excellent everyday prayer, asking for God’s mercy for this whole world

Excellent post…
You’ve opened very well. I like the way you write, as if you are having a one on one conversation.
“Anyone deliberately intending to cause fear by the use of violence are terrorists”. Your definition of a terrorist seems quite apt.
I personally do not agree on this point of yours
“No organization in the world, no political power can fight negative forces.”
The church has the honour of being the worlds largest institution. If it does not have the power to fight back then i must say, my faith in it is unfounded. God will definitely help us. But we as the children of God, need to take an initiative.
The need of the hour is for people to unite. Mind you. I am not saying that just the catholics have to unite. It is in everyone’s interest to stick together.
People blaming politicians need to do an introspection to determine, how much responsible are they in selecting these same politicians that they despise. Half of them have not voted despite being on the voter rolls and a majority chunk of the other half are not present on the voter rolls at all. Why then are they blaming politicians?
This seems like a long comment in reply to your post. Bear with me.
I agree with your point, that every individual needs to be responsible enough before blaming the authorities. Another point where I probably lacked giving enuf explanation- I did not mean to say that the organizations cannot fight terrorism. What I meant was they cant fight it alone, they need to acknowledge the power of God and keep prayer as their main weapon. Remember how Russia converted? All institutions would probably perish someday if they don’t seek God. Sometimes no matter how powerful we are, we have to humbly bow down, always in front of the almighty.
On a lighter note, why don’t you join the youth congress
Thanks for your comment.
